Or so we have presumed. Actually, they called the equator "Mitad del Mundo." We drove past the equator line while heading north from Quito to the Mindo Cloud Forrest (where we took the second picture). The first is of Peg swimming with the sea lions in the Galapagos, who were very playful and playfully bit her in numerous places including her flipper, butt and shoulder. She loved it :)
