Fun Fun Times

We had a great weekend with Audrey and Lyndon. Here are some fun photos. We saw Wall-e, which is SO cute, and we cooked a really awesome meal (I admit I was skeptical at first, but it turned out amazing, and so geographically relevant).
Auj is off to Germany next weekend. That is, if LA doesn't fall into the ocean before then. :)Awwwwwwwwwwww aren't they cute...


That is cactus juice from a fruit Auj plucked from a cactus outside our apartment. Peg mashed it up in the magic bullet and Lyndon drained it. Pretty good actually, like a combination betweem watermelon and strawberry. We have vodka that flavor so everyone come share it with us!


So this was our meal. From the very top down, we had spanish rice with hominy (apparently large, white corn with chickpea like consistency), boiled yucca root, black beans, guacamole (made by me in the magic bullet, and VERY garlic-y, we were all tasting it the next day), spicy salsa from the mexican market, and fried plantains which were yummmmmmy.


And this one for fun :) How our cat wakes us up and gets our attention during the day, at the door from our bedroom.
