We finally made it! We're in Vancouver, and we have now officially seen both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans within 3 weeks of each other. As well as some fantastic lakes...they're pretty great too (chuckle).
We attempted to head out early this morning, and we were up early enough since there was gusty blustering wind at the camp site which led to our little tent with too many names
almost being blown away.But, we ended up getting pretty enthralled at the Desert Center, going for a few walks and seeing rattlesnakes, etc. Did you know that rattlesnakes only have one lung that goes the length of its body? and that its head can still bite you for hours after it's died?
Anyway, we got into Vancouver just as the long weekend traffic got heavy and it started raining. We got lost a few times, found our hostel, and went out exploring. We ended up seeing Shrek 3, which was fun, and having sushi (our favorite tourist attraction). Tomorrow, we're going to catch a ferry to Victoria probably after exploring a bit more in the morning. Mas Manana!
